Hatsu-hinode

Seeing Hatsu-hinode (the first sun rise of the year) has became a New Year tradition for Chris and I, however Chris wasn’t well from the night before so I thought I wouldn’t be keen to go out by myself. Strangely, I was right awake after my alarm went off, so I quickly put my coat on and hurried up to the look out.

Sadly, the sun rise was mostly hidden by layers of cloud. However, when I turned around, Mt. Fuji was looking so glourious under the morning moon, being lit by the sun light. It was just magnificent. After a while, one drunken gentleman approached me and offered me the last little cup of sake on his tray. Drinking sake infront of my favourite mountain made my first morning of 2013 better than I thought it would be.

Happy New Year!
